The first time Chyna picked up a camera, she was five years old. With her mother's assistance she took a great black and white image that is still around today. From that moment she was hooked; photography became her favorite pastime and hobby. After shooting several weddings for friends, she decided to change her career to her long-time passion. To prepare for this change she attended the Academy of Art University to brush up on studio and location lighting techniques.
Her approach is a cross between photojournalism, fine art, and fashion. She prides herself in being able to get fabulous shots during a ceremony while remaining unobtrusive. Her style is far from traditional. However, she understands the importance of traditional group portraits. To give these portraits a more relaxed feel she recommends, whenever possible, to take these images outside at the ceremony or reception site.
Chyna enjoys capturing the warmth and interchange shared by each couple's family and friends. Her eye for details also reveals many of the day's fine points that may escape a bride's notice. However, one of her favorite parts of each wedding day is the one-on-one time she spends with the couple along with their bridal party. These are the images you will cherish most in the future.
