Arrive in a horse-drawn carriage, share your vows in one of the oldest churches in Michigan, or next to the beautiful Straits of Mackinac, or in a historic Gazebo that was used in the motion picture "Somewhere in Time", with Jane Seymour. On Mackinac Island all of your options are incredible and results are wonderful!
Our beautiful island overlooks the beautiful Straits of Mackinac connecting Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. For over one hundred years now it has been a popular summer resort. Visitors to Mackinac enjoy the island's unique natural beauty as well as its many points of historic interest such as Fort Mackinac and Grand Hotel. No automobiles are allowed so visitors and residents travel by either horse-drawn carriages, or by bicycle. And whether you fly in, or ride one of the numerous ferries from either Mackinaw City or St. Ignace, your troubles will simply melt away as you step off the boat and onto the dock - with the sounds of horse hooves on our quaintly paved streets. This wonderful place with all its grandeur and graces is simply our daily life on Mackinac Island!
