Douglas Despres is an international award-winning WPJA photojournalist and an award-winning fine art photographer based out of Cambria, California. Doug also serves as a special correspondent for The Cambrian newspaper. He photographs weddings on both coasts of the U.S., with welcomed destination weddings overseas. Doug always shoots with his partner, Katherine Deakin, also a WPJA wedding photojournalist.
Bringing an intense passion for the art of photography, Doug's images reflect a deep understanding of the design of light, and the subject's presence and action within the frame. His influences include Robert Frank, Sebastiao Selgado, and Paul Strand, among others.
