Formed in 2005 as a collaboration of international musicians living in the Pacific NW, Global Heat has thrilled audiences around the world with its all-live, high-energy blend of hip hop, acid jazz, and R&B. Global Heat takes positive messages about life, world events, and just plain old gettin' down and mixes them with some of the best of Seattle's break-dancers for a visually stunning show.
Global Heat has been featured at major concerts and festivals, including a week of performances at the 2006 Shanghai (China) International Music Festival and the prestigious Oregon Shakespeare Festival Green Show (Ashland, OR). Members have performed worldwide in over 25 countries, and currently perform over 200 shows per year throughout the USA. Members of Global Heat have appeared regularly or on tour with KRS ONE, The Rebelz, Pep Love of Hiero Imperium, Maya Soleil, Babatunde Olatunji, Kanda Bongo Man, Mango Son, Sam & Dave "Soul Man", and others.
