HISTORY
Mark C. Honeywell, co-founder of Honeywell Inc. and a Wabash native, made a commitment to build the Honeywell Center to honor his late wife, Olive Lutz Honeywell, and his parents. In 1941, the Honeywell Foundation was established to operate the Center.
The original 45,000 square foot facility was completed in 1952 and included the gymnasium and roller rink. In 1994, a 75,000 square foot addition was opened featuring the Ford Theater, Eugenia’s Restaurant, Clark Gallery, and a beautiful outdoor plaza.
MEETING & BANQUET FACILITIES
The Honeywell Center provides facilities and services for over 3,000 events and 200,000 visitors annually. The Center offers accommodations for a wide variety of events including charity balls, showcases, craft shows, training seminars, conferences, weddings, receptions, and proms.
CONCERTS & EVENTS
The beautiful 1,500 seat Ford Theater plays host to many top entertainers throughout the year. Debbie Reynolds, Wayne Newton, Randy Travis, Chubby Checker, Dino, Jeff Foxworthy, Cheap Trick, and 38 Special have all taken the stage and represent the diversity of the entertainment offered to customers. A classical series is offered by the Wabash Valley Music Association and features ballet, philharmonic, and chamber music.
Special events held at the Center include several children’s festivals, art shows, craft shows, educational outreach programming, sock hops, mystery dinner theaters, and much more.
EUGENIA’S
Eugenia’s is located off the main lobby and is open Monday through Friday from 11 am to 2 pm and Sunday for a brunch buffet from 11 am to 2 pm. Eugenia’s also offers buffet dining prior to concerts in the theater, as well as on or off-site catering.
Honeywell Center has received approximately 130 profile views in the last three months.
