The Inn at Benicia Bay is a historic home that stayed in the same family from 1854 to 1983 when the last heir died. The home is rich in history from the first sea captain Captain Paladini who brought this home for his wife Jane and died young at sea. Jane later married a boarder Captain Dillingham. She produced two daughters, Celia with her first husband and Oceana with her second. The family became very prominent with the San Francisco society group and their personal archives remain with the local historical society today.
