Jane Gignoux is an experienced Certified Celebrant in New York City, officiating at weddings throughout the Northeast. She enjoys working with couples to create ceremonies that fit their unique values and wishes. Because she has spent time exploring other cultures, couples from different backgrounds sometimes choose Jane as their celebrant so that their ceremony will reflect those cultural differences. She has an in-person (if possible) introductory meeting with couples before they sign an agreement so that both Officiant and couple can ask questions and be assured of compatibility. Jane is happy to suggest readings but all final decisions on the ceremony's wording lie with the couple. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the couple receives a bound copy of their wedding script.

Pricing        $750 - $550, depending on the time of year and day of the week. Rehearsals and travel expenses are extra.
 
Other Details        Jane has a degree in Theatre from Smith College and taught theatre and speech at the secondary and undergraduate levels. She is the author of "Some Folk Say: Stories of Life, Death and Beyond" and gives workshops widely. She is currently completing a new book, "An Insistence on Life."
