Karla Ruiz was born in Mexico City and raised in the small town of Zamora. She grew up in the kitchen with her grandmother and mother preparing meals for the entire family. Everything was handmade using ingredients from their own back yard, and so began her appreciation for fresh, local ingredients.

Over 10 years ago, Karla found her way to Nashville,Tennessee and Belle Meade Plantation, working with Martha Stamps - an experience that not only increased her appreciation for flavor, but solidified her support of local farmers and our community.

Now her passion continues as she offers her amazing authentic cuisine to the public with Karla's Catering and Prepared Foods.
