Lisa McGlown was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio where her musical gifts were birthed and developed at an early age. Lisa began singing with her sisters (McGlown Sisters) at the tender age of 5, where she learned the joy of harmony. At age 7, Lisa was chosen to sing in a formal group called the Sunbeams, where her musical ear was further developed.
The Sunbeams would go on to sing around the Metro Toledo area. Lisa's professional music career began at age 12, as a Drummer for various churches and groups in the Metro Toledo area. Lisa would go on to accompany Gospel greats such as: Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark, Fred Hammond, Vickie Winans, Marvin Winans, Vanessa Bell-Armstrong, Twinkie Clark, The Clark Sisters, Rance Allen, Thomas Whitfield, Donald Vails, Marvin Sapp and many others.
As a vocalist and or Songwriter, Lisa has been blessed to work with: Percy Bady, Candi Staton, Wayne Linsey, Tim Carmon, Bill Maxwell, Scott V. Smith, Babbie Mason, Derrick Lee, Vernessa Mitchell, Maurice Starr, Ronnie Song, Daniel Winans, Sanchez Harley, Vance Taylor, Marcus Williams,Junior Vazquez, Frankie Knuckles, Wayne Garfield,Rick Watford, Tres Gilbert, Mose Davis, Sterling Hollimon, Israel Embry and many others.
