Based in New York, Beowulf Sheehan is a photographer driven by the wonder and creativity of people and life.
A graduate of New York University, Beowulf's passion for the wonder and creativity of people and life has led him to work with outspoken figures across many fields. The son of a linguist and a mariner, he is well traveled and multilingual (speaking English, German, and Spanish). Beowulf's portraits have appeared in US publications such as Entertainment Weekly, Esquire, The New York Times, and Variety and in foreign editions such as Die Zeit (Germany), El Pa s (Spain), Harper's Bazaar (Japan), Le Figaro (France), and Vogue Nippon (Japan). His work has been exhibited in institutions such as The Museum of The City of New York, The New York Historical Society, The Royal Thai Consulate General, and Torre Avogadro Galleria Civica (Lumezzane, Italy).
Beowulf's love of visual storytelling has led him to enjoy photographing weddings. His work has been published in the likes of Brides, Elegant Bride, Glamour, Hochzeit (Germany), The Knot, The New York Times, Nozze In (Italy), Today's Bride (Canada), and Wedding Day (Enlgand). He has documented weddings in five countries and across the United States thus far, each with the intimate and narrative style for which he is known.
