Full time professional musician with 20 years experience in the Washington DC area. Holly entertains on a classic gold harp as well as a beautiful cherry celtic style harp. Holly participates in numerous weddings each year in addition to being a member of several professional orchestras and a regular player in chamber groups, recitals, and with area chorales.
She also performs frequently at the embassies, Strathmore Hall, Corcoran, National Theater, Warner, Nat. Gallery of Art, Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian, Phillips Collection, Ford's Theater, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, US Capitol, and the major hotels and conference centers in the area.
She has entertained a number of US Presidents, visiting foreign dignitaries, and celebrities over the years. In addition, a number of her arrangements of harp music have been published.
Lyra has an extensive repertoire ranging from classical, to religous, to celtic, to standard pop tunes. If you have a specific request please ask because we probably have it or will be willing to make an arrangement if possible.
Lyra is available for all types of musical venues from weddings, intimate parties, to large formal receptions. Lyra Ensemble also performs regularly on various recital series and we can work with you to put togethor a program to fit the needs of your particular audience.
Lyra Ensemble consists of harp solo or combined with various other instruments including flute, violin, cello, or viola.
