When you have a dress that is custom made it is like nothing you have ever worn before. Most people have never worn a garment that was created specifically for their body. The first reaction I get from a client is that they hardly notice what they are wearing. This is precisely what my goal is with each dress. A bride should wear her dress and not the other way around. When your dress is custom every attention to detail is made. You can spend the day in your strapless dress and not have to pull it up constantly, or worry that it is so tight you cannot breathe.
You can request special fabrics such as pieces of your mother's wedding dress or I had a client ask for a special embroidered sports logo, (that was her future husband's favorite team) to be sewn into the lining. A custom made dress is completely yours. It is made to fit you and you can create the design of your dreams.
-Free initial consultation. We schedule an appointment and talk about your dress. Please bring ideas for your dress such as pictures, sketches, fabric swatches, anything you have that will help with the design. The meeting usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes. I will get back to you within 7 days with an initial estimate of the cost and time needed to make your dress. This will also include a front and back detailed hand illustration of your dress.
-Once the design is agreed upon a nonrefundable deposit is due. The deposit is 50% of the initial estimate of the dress; the deposit will be applied to the final the cost of your dress. I will then take your measurements; create a pattern and sample garment. The sample is your design made out of inexpensive fabric for fitting and other design details that need to be altered before the final fabric has been cut and sewn. Once the sample is perfected, I create the dress out of the chosen fabric and finish with any other design details. The remainder of the cost of the dress is due at the final pickup.

-For pattern making, fitting, and construction I charge $45 an hour, not including the supplies needed to make the dress.
-A dress can take anywhere from 15 to 80 hours of work depending on the design.
-Strapless dresses start at $1000. |

-The whole process involves at least 4 fittings. If your design is strapless expect more.
- Fittings take place in my home studio in Corvallis, OR. Exceptions can be made if necessary, however additional fees will be incurred for my traveling expenses. |
