The McCormick Tribune Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum is a five-story space that begins on the riverwalk level of Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue. Upon entering, guests will have the opportunity to learn about the Chicago River and how it influenced the growth of the city from the days before European settlement until today.
Each level of the Bridgehouse offers rarely seen vistas. The first floor is home to the bridge gear room. Attendees are invited in to see and learn about how these massive gears and cogs work to raise and lower the famed Michigan Avenue Bridge. From there, each level provides an awesome urban view of the Chicago River, the Magnificent Mile and Chicago's famous skyline.
