With three different eclectic event spaces, Mellwood Art Center has a room for everyone. Free parking, all - day rental periods, as well as open catering and alcohol policies, all make Mellwood one of the most desirable venues in the Louisville area. Hold your next event in a space surrounded by galleries, shops, and art studios - it will be an event your guests will never forget!
Event Room #1 is an 11,500 - square - foot space featuring an exclusive balcony and back patio. The lawn area directly behind the space is available for an additional fee. Capacity in this room goes from 175 - 350 seated at round tables, higher for stand - up receptions and type of events. This room easily divides for ceremony and reception. Room rental fee is $2,295.
Event Room #2 is a 4,000 - square - foot space and has a 60 - 160 seating capacity. This room works best for a small reception - combination of ceremony and reception works only if the guests are seated at the dining tables for both. Room rental fee is $995.00.
Our newest room - Event Room #3 - is a 12,500 - square - foot space with a 2,000 - square - foot entrance courtyard. Featuring a ballroom size dance floor and elevated stage, the capacity in this room ranges from 200 - 750 formally seated; double that for theater - style rows of seating. There is no additional fee for either an indoor or outdoor wedding ceremony.
