Hello, My Name is Diego Villalobos. I'm was born in San Jose, Costa Rica but currently residing in Kenosha, WI. I discovered the power of music at a young age. I studied the violin & guitar before finding a strong passion for hip-hop music. I started writing & DJing while I was in junior high school.
I started with "Gemeni's CDJ 10's" and I taught myself how to blend music. Shortly after, I found myself in need of a steady income because my girlfriend & I found out we were expecting our first child. About 5 years ago, after a few corporate boring jobs, I found myself not happy where I was working. We invested in some professional equipment and I quickly transitioned over to the world of DJing.
Right now I try and stay as busy as possible from weddings, private events, clubs etc. About 3-4 years ago, I had the opportunity to DJ with the well-known DJ Lil' Jon from WGCI in Chicago. I noticed that he was using "Serrato Scratch." After observing what he was able to accomplish with Serrato, I felt it was necessary to crossover to Digital DJing. That is when I purchased the "Numark Virtual Vinyl, " which I felt was a better fit for me.
The styles of music I most identify with are: Hip-Hop, R&B, Club and Caribbean/ Latin. I feel most confident blending, remixing and club DJing. I currently am interested in networking and gaining as much knowledge as I possibly can as well as sharing the knowledge that I have with others.
