MIKE & mike's was an idea born in famous Chicago, Illinois. "MIKE" (Mike V. Lapaglia) was born and raised in Chicago. He worked at the famous "Yo Joe's" Hot Dog stand in High School. From the time his son "mike" Mike A. Lapaglia was old enough to eat solid foods, he would take him to his old high school job/ hangout to enjoy a Chicago Style Hot Dog (or two...). When MIKE moved mike and family to Texas, one of the things about Chicago mike missed most were the amazing Hot Dogs. They just couldn't find them anywhere in Texas. mike became a good Texan and learned to love BBQ, but that craving for a good Chicago Dog still never went away.
When "mike" grew up, he began taking annual trips to Chicago to "visit family and see the Cubs play...," but really he was finding a good excuse to go satisfy his Chicago Hot Dog craving. To this day the first thing "mike" does when he gets off the plane is go to the nearest Chicago Hot Dog joint to satisfy that craving for a 100% Beef Vienna Dog with all the trimmings that makes it a "Chicago Style Hot Dog". He's even taught his Wife the tradition as well. She loves them just as much as he does, and she's a Texas girl all the way! So here they are, Father and Son, wanting to share a piece of their lives with Austin! What better way than a Chicago Dog to do that! Come and enjoy a Hot Dog with MIKE or mike!
