ABOUT
Paul's first camera was a simple and now archaic Polaroid, which he received as a gift at eight years old. He promptly burned through two cartridges of film on his very first subjects, eager to see images of his toys, siblings and family cats come to life. At age 12, he pestered his father to let him experiment with an old Pentax SLR and it was decided at once. Paul was hooked on photography.
Since then, his passion for shooting beautiful photographs has grown. But what's remained unchanged is his vantage point and belief that even the simplest of subjects can be the most beautiful. Over the years, Paul has cultivated a love of people through his varying life experiences as a lifeguard, chef, entrepreneur and most importantly, photographer. While he's moved by the works of Mike Colon, Dane Sanders, Nigel Barker and David La Chappele, his true and constant inspiration is his best friend and wife Stacia, whom he married on the island of Maui in October 2006.
Paul loves photography because he feels his work can truly make a difference in someone's life through capturing the most important moments, big or small. His shooting philosophy is simple: to capture emotions and relay them in their purest form. Creating memories and showing his clients their natural beauty, lets Paul know he is making an impact. His creative growth and passion is consistently fed through every person who asks for tips on how to take a better picture.
