Power Of 12 is a high- energy band of twelve musicians with a hot five- piece horn section backed by a dynamic five- man rhythm crew, with two singers belting it out up front. Several band members share lead singing duties, highlighting the variety of musical and vocal styles the group has to offer. Smaller bands can't duplicate this big, horn- driven rhythm & blues sound!
Power of 12 brings together a diverse collection of musical tastes and experiences to create an enthusiastic stage performance of original and popular music. They perform a rockin' mix of funk, high- octane R&B, and world music led by TWO commanding percussionists! Their contagious "gotta dance" sound is well- suited for music from artists like Van Morrison, Prince, James Brown, Tower of Power and others. That fat sassy horn sound rings out in their own original tunes as well.
Power of 12 combined musical and writing talents to record and produce its first CD, featuring nine original and three R&B classics. The band is currently working on a live CD recording of various high- energy performances.
Known for spirited interactions between band members and audiences, Power of 12 has enjoyed performing throughout Northern California for over twelve years. This is NOT a sit-down- concert band, but one that brings an audience to its feet, by the sheer force of irresistible music!
Juicy is a band made up of 5 members of Power of 12 (Beth, Jim, Patrick, Dave, and Jeff) which plays a similar mix of R&B, blues, funk, Latin, and rock, very suitable for a smaller venue or budget. We deliver the same high energy performances, as well as music suitable for more intimate events.
