Ken Grimes is an ordained Lutheran minister who has served churches in Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri. From 1993 to 2000 he owned and operated Simply Married, Maui, Hawai'i's largest wedding provider. Judy Grimes is an ordained minister in the Unity Church, and has served congregations in Washington, Missouri, California, Hawaii and Traverse City, Michigan. Since 2000, together they have officiated over 550 ceremonies in Lower Northern Michigan. During their combined ministries, they have officiated over 5,600 ceremonies.
Based in Boyne City, Michigan, Ken and Judy offer you not only your choice of a male or female minister, but also of several different ceremonies (or will help you create one that is distinctly you). Candle, sand and water ceremonies (to be included within the wedding ceremony) are available, as well as a Children's Ceremony for those couples who would like to include children from previous marriages.

Fees are based on the county in which the venue is located, starting at $200 for weddings and $100 for rehearsals. One half of the total fee is due at the time of booking, with the balance due the day of the wedding. |

Pre-marital counseling is not required, but is available for a nominal fee. Meeting prior to the ceremony is also not required, but we are happy to accomodate those couples who would like to do so. Normally there is no charge for this. Contracts are also not required, but available for those who desire one. |
