Second Wind Farm is a beautiful, 34 acre farm. The wedding site is at the end of a long lane that opens into a stunning view of a 3 acre lake, huge oak trees, and an old tobacco barn. There is nothing but natural scenery in every direction. Even the drive back the lane is scenic. There is a horse pasture on one side and farmland on the other. It's also very conveniently located, just one mile from Portland and five miles from I - 65.
We offer a horse and carriage option that provides a very beautiful and dramatic entrance for the bride. You can even choose which horse you would like to pull the carriage, depending on the look that you want. There is a stunning black Friesian stallion or a beautiful, pure white mare. The white horse is also available for a ride - in entrance.
We have plenty of room for parking that is convenient to the site. There is also a perfect area to set up a tent if you want one.
We also offer dressing rooms for the bride and groom.
