Courtney Alvarado, owner and lead consultant of Serendipity Events, brings a unique and specialized skill set to the wedding industry. With a degree in public relations and a background in entertainment and event production, Courtney has what it takes to take your wedding to the next level.
Courtney first entered the event industry when she began working as an event assistant for a well known Los Angeles entertainment public relations firm and knew right away she had found her passion. Her creativity, dependability and expertise soon landed her a job as the Sr. Events Manager at Center at Cathedral Plaza; the event center for Our Lady of The Angels Cathedral (the largest Catholic Cathedral in Los Angeles).
While at the Cathedral, Courtney coordinated over 400 events including an event for the Mayor of Los Angeles with over 2,000 guest and numerous events for Cardinal Roger Mahoney. The Cathedral provided Courtney the opportunity to channel her skills and interests while building lasting relationships with vendors and clients.
After five successful years with the Cathedral, Courtney saw the opportunity to create something bigger- to use her passion, vision and experience to offer more creative, successful and fashionable wedding alternatives for clients, so in 2005 she launched Serendipity Events, a full-service consulting and design studio.
