Sharon began her musical career at the age of nine in St Louis, attending formal private piano lessons until she was thirteen. Although Sharon is primarily self-taught, her advanced level of performance truly exceeds the amount of years spent in formal lessons.
She began performing and teaching at 14 years old as a soloist and played in bands in South and Central Texas. At age 20, she began college at UT Austin where she earned a double major in Music and Pharmacy.
During college, she was the Lobby Bar Pianist, performing nightly at the Omni Hotel in Austin. Other venues include Barton Creek Country Club, Green Pasteur's Restaurant, Driskill, Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Omni Hotel in Corpus Christi, Embassy Suites, and other private events. Her repertoire is extensive, containing many different musical genres.
Most of the songs she performs are her own unique arrangements or originals, which adds to the enjoyment of her audiences. Her influences include Jelly Roll Morton, Liberache, Elton John, Art Tatum, Lux Lewis, and Marcia Ball to name a few.
She is member of several musician organizations throughout the United States, and presently resides in San Antonio, Texas. She is also the Director of North Central Piano Academy, and gives piano lessons for students of all ages and levels.
