Silver Hearth Lodge is a private mountaintop retreat for very special events. This unique 40-acre, gated property encompasses the top of Bent Mountain, VA, overlooking the Roanoke Valley at an elevation of 3000' above sea level. A refined, rustic day lodge, SHL has covered facilities that accommodate 300 for a large, sit down gathering, 75 for a smaller stand up gathering and/or an intimate picnic gathering. With abundant nature and privacy, SHL provides a relaxed atmosphere with views from the very peak of Bent Mountain, well-manicured grounds and evening ambient up-lighting in the trees.
Silver Hearth Lodge provides one location for both wedding ceremonies and reception events. Our venue offers covered facilities for a large sit down gathering at VistaView Hall, a smaller stand up gathering at the Overlook Pavillion, and an intimate picnic gathering at the nature inspired Tree Garden in one of our two tin roofed Sky Shelters.
Other facilities include the scenic Terrace at Overlook Park with hanging swings, a luxurious bridal suite and covered dance floor in VistaView Hall, and the Native American inspired Fire Circle with fire pits and fireplaces. We also have a 1890s domed wrought iron gazebo for your wedding ceremony, the Enchanted Forest with its Stone Chapel, Seclusion Stations and Hiking trails, the Deadwood Arbor, and the ancient Rock Garden with hanging swings, as well as massive rock walls and parks throughout the property.
Silver Hearth Lodge is a very affordable venue with an all end cost structure. On site parking and up close parking are available for those who require extra consideration. We are minutes from and overlooking Roanoke, VA.
