We met with Sosan a few times before our wedding ceremony to discuss the integration of Buddhist practices with Christian/Catholic ones. Because my husband is Vietnamese raised in a Buddhist and Catholic family, and I am Swedish raised in a Protestant
Christian family, it was important to find an officiant who was comfortable and respectful doing this synthesis for us that would include both of our family's faiths. Sosan was the perfect fit not only theologically, but also personally. She was very professional,
thorough, and available throughout the process. Sosan exudes patience, non-judgment, and quiet respect. After the ceremony, my mother-in-law said she was so happy we included the Buddha, his Catholic extended family remarked that Sosan did an excellent job
of combining God and Buddhist ways of life, and my family especially commented on the grace of Sosan's words. Even family of mine that is atheist and agnostic had many positive things to say about the message Sosan sent about wholeness of persons and the intention
of a vow. It was respectful and meaningful for everyone. If you are looking for an officiant who is mindful about incorporating various religious or non-religious facets of yourselves and your families, Sosan is it. We are so happy she was part of our journey
together as a couple.
