Phil and Christine Brownridge started Tesori's Gluten Free Treats to provide delicious baked goods that surpassed their gluten-based counterparts for people on gluten-free diets.
In 2001, after many years of digestive problems and endless testing, Phil was finally diagnosed as being gluten intolerant. Although relieved to finally know the cause of his ailments, he had to contend with the realization that the delicious goodies he loved to eat were to be replaced by dry, unappetizing gluten-free versions.
Christine, having grown up in a family whose motto was "full tummy, happy heart," developed a love for baking at a very young age. Some of her earliest memories are those of being in the kitchen, where the warm fragrance of cinnamon tea was being brewed for her grandmother's wonderful cinnamon anise cookies.
Christine spent countless hours helping her mother and grandmother whip up scrumptious desserts made from scratch the old-fashioned way. Her grandfather, who attended chef school before serving in the armed forces, was also an amazing baker, and further helped refine Christine's baking skills.
Together, Phil and Christine began experimenting with the recipes passed down from Christine's family, as well as new recipes they lovingly created together. What they ended up with were deliciously decadent, gluten-free baked goods and treats that were every bit as wonderful as the ones they grew up eating.
They proudly shared them with their loved ones and friends who were very surprised to find out that they were, in fact, gluten-free. Because of the popularity and growing demand of their treats from people, both with and without gluten allergies, Phil and Christine decided to launch Tesori's Gluten Free Treats, named after their daughter.
Now, our superbly delectable gluten-free baked goods, made with the best ingredients, are available for everyone to enjoy and love.
