History
Established in 2003. Our owner is a third generation baker, having started at the famous Barbara's Bake Shoppe in Des Moines, that was located on Ingersoll. Working his way through the ranks has given him the expertise and experience that he has today. You can tell by every bite of our delicious treats that David really knows what he is doing. He uses only the finest and freshest ingredients that he can find, and everything is made from scratch.
David says if you can think of it, and it is something that can be baked, he can make it. David's father was the creator of the Champagne Cake here in Des Moines, very often imitated, but never duplicated. Meet the business owner: David S. David is a local here in Des Moines, having grown up in the bakery that his father and uncle owned since 1948. When it comes to experience in the baking business, David has no shortfalls. David has even studied in Paris, which has helped make him the baker of fine cakes and pastries that he is today.
