The Fillmore Theater opened in 1925 as the State Theater, one of many movie palaces in the city of Detroit. Today it has been renovated and maintained to offer stunning views of the historical architecture (Italian Renaissance style), original chandeliers, marble columns and staircases, brass fixtures, hand-painted murals, red velvet curtains and lit ceiling dome.
