The Library Ballroom was built in 1889 and was home to Macon's first public library. Over the years the building has been home to a dance studio, a DJ's recording studio, a popular playing venue for the Allman Brothers Band, the headquarters of the Historic Macon Foundation, and now a lovely victorian style ballroom. The Library Ballroom is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Old Library Building, while Central Bank of Georgia holds residence on the first floor of the building.
The Grand Ballroom can accomodate up to 250 people, while use of the adjacent Reception Room is perfect for the placement of your foods and catered goods. Located on the 3rd floor of the building is The Library Ballroom's VIP Suite. It is a fully furnished one bedroom, studio style apartment, available with rental of the facility for wedding night accomodations, lodging for VIP or corporate guests, or for holding private VIP parties during or after your main event.
