The People's Cake is the brainchild of chef and owner Kaysie Lackey, whose award-winning cakes have garnered regional and national recognition for their artistry and originality.
Her fine-art background (including a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Belmont University) and previous experience in the fashion industry give her an eye for both elegant and over-the-top design.
Kaysie Lackey placed in the top 20 at the 2008 and 2009 Grand National Wedding Cake Competition in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She recently won the Topsy Turvy Cake Contest hosted by Cake Central and Global Sugar Art, beating almost 300 entries.
She and her comrades at The People's Cake are bringing her passion for groundbreaking cakes to the people. That is, to you.
At The People's Cake, we're artists, but we're also professionals-so you can count on us to help make your event as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We include you in the design process, starting with a detailed, full-color sketch that shows you exactly what you're going to get. From there, you'll have the chance to add your input. We will work with you to craft a memorable cake that will amaze your guests both before and after they taste it.
