Chef Roderick Jackson, "The Personal Gourmet" is an award-winning chef and has been a professional chef for over twenty years. He has worked for some of the finest hotels and convention centers across the country. Chef Jackson has also had the privilege of working high profile events such as 2008 Super Bowl XLII and the 2008 NBA All-Star Game. He has provided backstage catering for celebrities such as Cher, Clint Black, Carlos Santana and Hillary Duff just to name a few.
Chef Jackson fosters the philosophy that the eating experience is first visual. He has spent many years developing his food creativity. He looks at the plate as his canvas, and all the different flavors, textures and colors of food give him the ability to create something appetizing to the eye as well as the stomach. This creativity and ingenuity is what helped him advance his career through the years and now he is continuing that level of excellence as chef/owner of "The Personal Gourmet."
He has a love and passion for creating food and making people happy with his creations. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys jazz music and other creative outlets such as landscaping and woodworking.
