The Red Quartet offers a few different combinations of instruments. There are five of us who play together regularly, and we perform often as a quartet or trio, depending on the size of the venue, and the preference of the hirer.
Our group includes piano, bass, drumset, saxophone, and guitar. We offer various combinations of these instruments to fit the room (drums and bass + guitar or piano, etc.).
The Red Quartet invokes the jazz mood for your event. Perfect for receptions and parties, we play classy music from Miles Davis to Frank Sinatra. With four college music degrees in the group, the level of performance is professional and dynamic. We are particularly sensitive to the requests of the host by adjusting our volume and style accordingly.
In addition to our jazz repertoire, we have a funk/fusion set that we can play upon request.
The only thing we require from the venue is a flat, dry, space with access to one electrical outlet.
