Though the Stonethrowers were founded as an original music band, they perform from a large and growing number of hard driving bluegrass and country standards. The instrumentalists aim to keep tradition alive with exceptional improvisational skill and interpretation. Three-part harmonies are a feature throughout most of the repertoire.
Four members often take the lead vocals adding an engaging interplay of personality and singing style. Our instrumentation is guitar/ voice, banjo /voice, mandolin/voice, pedal steel guitar, and upright bass/ voice.
You can expect to hear your favorite traditional songs as well as songs by Hank Williams, Tom Waits, Gillian Welch, The Beatles, Steve Earl, Gram Parsons, Townes Van Zandt, Ricky Skaggs and more.

$750-3000 depending on size of the band and the length/type of the event. Travel costs are not included. A non-refundable deposit is required when the terms of the contract have been agreed upon. |
