Willie and the Po Boys, a Southern and Classic rock act with a diverse playlist, have been performing venues all over North Central Florida since 1999 from small clubs to large festivals.
The band is a rock trio composed of veteran musicians.
The bassist is Gainesville area veteran Steve Ewing. The drummer is a long-time Putnam county player, Jeff Walker. Jeff has performed with acts that include Susan Thomsen Clark, daughter of Roy Clark. Lead guitarist lead vocalist Terry Cavanaugh is another Putnam County resident and is a veteran of the Pittsburgh, PA area circuits.
Terry is a strong vocalist, and a rip the strings off, blazin hot guitarist.
In Gainesville the band has performed at Munegan's, and JR's. They have performed down the road in Putnam Hall at the Howlin Wolf. Last year, at the 1st Annual Starke BikeFest, they opened for Local Traffic on Thursday evening and Molly Hatchet on Saturday. They have also performed at the Azalea Festival, the Blue Crab Festival, Hot Southern Nights, teh Zucchini Festival, Timbuktu and Mate's in Starke, Porky's Wild Hog Saloon, Lit'l Caesar's Lounge, Smith Lake Lounge, Ethel's Southland, Bike Night at the Sugar Tree Cafe, and at many other venues.
The band can provide PA for venues from small juke joints, to 5000+, and if needed can provide a small light show.
