Woodburn, c.1830, is a graceful, four - story clapboard plantation house museum, conviently located on six rural acres, just 35 minutes from Greenville. This unique site is ideal for the outdoor romantic wedding and / or reception of your dreams. Available from April - October for weddings and special events for groups of up to 400 people.
The site offers two sites for wedding ceremonies: at the Victorian carriage house or on the front steps of the main plantation house. Double wrap - around piazzas, with lighting, can be used for food service - either buffet style for large groups, or sit - down dinner for smaller groups of up to 50 people. Ample room on front lawn for set - up of tents, tables and chairs, dance floor, and more.
We can arrange for tables, chairs, linens, tents, and dance floor, or you can arrange your own. We have no catering services on - site but can make referrals to local caterers and other service providers. A small catering kitchen is available for food prep and dressing room is available for bridal party. The house museum will be open for your guests to tour through during the event.
