Paul Yamashiro and Tom Naughton have been photographing weddings in the Chicago area since 1978. In 1984, Yamashiro Studio was founded and in a few short years, they established themselves along the North Shore Suburbs, one of the most demanding markets in the nation. Over the next ten years a business was nurtured relying solely on client referrals through word of mouth and solid reputation. Today with the addition of excellent young photographers, they look to introduce themselves to potential clients everywhere.
Their photography blends spontaneous candid coverage with traditional wedding photography. Posed pictures are taken quickly, allowing the bride and groom to enjoy their day without interruption. The photographers and their associates capture each event unobtrusively, doing their work professionally, while sensitive to the event and the guests. Their photographs capture the emotions and drama of the day without staging artificial situations or using backdrops that remove the photograph from the setting and atmosphere of the wedding.
